Ask customer service to send you the wiring diagram for your speaker.I just acquired a Mesa diesel 2x10 cab. The horn has been removed. I've ordered a horn from Mesa there is a three way rocker switch for horn control- high off and low. Does anyone have a schematic on the correct wiring for the horn and switch?
I have. They do not have it. They haven't made the diesel line in over 20 yearsAsk customer service to send you the wiring diagram for your speaker.
Is the rest of the crossover present, or was that removed as well?I have. They do not have it. They haven't made the diesel line in over 20 years
There is a resistor on the three way switch. From what Mesa is telling me, the original horn was a celestion with a built in crossover. I had already ordered a current production horn. They are saying I need to get a current backplate. Is the rest of the crossover present, or was that removed as well?
Right. I know this. My question was more for the wiring of the three way switchIf there is no crossover present in your cabinet, you MUST have the current jack plate which has the crossover included. Otherwise you will destroy the new horn.
Follow the documentation provided with the new plate.Right. I know this. My question was more for the wiring of the three way switch
