mesa 4x10 users question

I've been playing a lot of reggae shows lately and I think I need something a little more ground shaking than the 2 mesa 112's that I have. So I was looking at the mesa 4x10 and was wondering what you all think of that cab.

I've played through the PH 410 more than a couple of times - it's a very good sounding cab, and like all Mesa products, solidly built... The biggest complaint I have against it is that it's SO low to the ground, it's literally blasting at your knees... I have the PH 610, which is taller - but also seems to have much more low end than the PH 410 does - it's also fairly heavy @ 135lbs...

I also have an SVT-410HLF, and if you're looking for massive lows out of a 410, that's the way to go, IMO... It's also lighter than the PH 410, and considerably cheaper - both new and used, typically...

It also depends where you live, I paid about 4 times as much for my SVT410HLF, there were none in second hand for a long time so I went for new. The lowest aftermarket price I've seen around here during the time I've owned the cab was around 700$ (converted from local currency).

I've been playing a Mesa 410 for a year or so now. I am able to get all the thump I need and keep the high's tight. I'm really impressed with this cab, and would reccommend it to anyone. However-It does consume more amp power than anything I've ever used, so make sure your pushing 350 watts min.And It's really heavy. I bought mine used off of C/L for 300 bucks, and put a little elbow grase into it, revovered it and sent one woofer out to Orange County Speaker for repair, so I invested like 150 into it. All money well spent.

I wish i could find one used but being in hawaii i highly doubt i will.
