Mesa Boogie 400+ problem

Hi everyone,

The switch on my 400+ has become stuck on the "on" position, but the amplifier wont turn on. Mind you I haven't used the amp in about 4 years. What I would like to know is, how easy would it be to find a replacement switch and replace it with on the amp?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can get replacement switches from Mesa, did 'em on two of mine. I would replace both since your in there. The ones from the music stores are never the right size, just get the originals.

I'd try placing the amp so the switch is pointing upward and spraying some Deoxit D5 electrical cleaner around the rocker so it can work its way inside. Then let it sit for a few seconds and carefully try to work the switch off and on.

The power switch in my Mesa D180 started acting up like yours and I got it working again this way. That was 5 years ago and its still working great. Radio shack used to sell Deoxit or its available online.
