Mesa boogie walkabout scout question...

On the replacement fan question; look in the Walkabout Megathread for the posts on this topic by TBer Vic.
He did a very nice job of detailing the replacement process, including pics.

One current difference is that when Vic did his mod, the Silenx fan he used had a ~24cfm rating vs the Mesa spec'd Sunon fan that does ~34cfm (at ~30+dba). Currently there are 80mm Silenx fans that do ~32cfm at ~14dba, so you can get just about the same cooling as the stock fan with way less noise.

It's a very easy mod, particularly if all you do is clip the old fan wires and crimp the new ones on. You can get a little fancier if you want and use amp jacks (so you can replace the fan by simply unclipping the wires) or add a fan speed control (so you can adjust the fan speed to meet the need) etc.

You wouldn't happen to know the model number for the Silenx fan?
