Mesa Boogie

I bought a used Walkabout Scout cheap on eBay and I love it. Great sound with my passive Jazz. I can't say anything else about it besides what's in all the other Walkabout threads.

But I wanted to mention how nice and helpful the folks at Mesa are.

I live about 30 miles away from their facility, so I took it to them to get it upgraded to current spec (newer input jack, fx bypass, changes to the fan to make it quieter, some other stuff). They said it would take 2 to 4 weeks, and they got it done it 3 weeks, one day. Charge was $100.

They gave me a tour of the facility, once at drop-off, once at pickup (two different guys, I am sorry I don't remember their names).

And, when I picked it up, I decided to buy one of those mount-on wheeley carts. I asked how to install it -- they took me out back to one of the guys who builds the amps (yeah, I didn't get his name either), and he said, "come back in 30 minutes and I'll have it installed", which he did -- for free.

They are a small shop (maybe 50 people working there), and have a small-shop, small-town vibe. I was really happy with my experience.
