Mesa Powerhouse 2x12 Rig ....

Awesome rig man! I dig the blue, it is always cool to see different colors other than the typical black and norm. I use a Mesa Powerhouse 610 cabinet and love it! The two cabs are a smart way to go because it allows for the option to use just one for smaller gigs and then use both for bigger gigs. Nice amp as well. :D

Also doubles as a dolly! ;)

Congrats on an awesome rig!

How well do the Powerhouse 212's handle a low B-string? I'm in the market for some new cabs, can the Powerhouse 212 nail an old school 70's era rock tone?

Would a pair of these 212's get stupidly loud when needed?

If so, they'll be on the top of my list!

These can take a B string all day long. I have my B tuned to low A or G depending on the tune and even with my M9 it handles it no sweat.

And yeah- I have 2. Ask my guitards how stupidly loud it is against both of their stacks! :D It's a much better solution for me than the PH412.

Simply crushing. The ultimate Triple Rec full stack killer.

Very sweet. I am definitely leaning hard towards a pair of PH212's now. Thanks so much :).

I didn't know Mesa offered different colors of coverings!

dmot002's Blue Bronco/Silver grill cabs look awesome. I've been looking at Mesa's site and I'm drooling over the different colors they offer. Very nice gear.

Yeah I was hesitant to go for the modular setup like this, as I've been a "one big cab" guy for a long while now, but it's totally working out well. Even one of these guys with my amp is really loud, but with both engaged I can run the amp lower and cooler with more headroom so it just sings. :)

As far as on-the-fly gig-stacking goes, both of my cabs have the 3" Mesa casters, and I either A.) put them both on their side or B.) keep one cab vertical on it's casters and put the top cab horizontal and I use a GRAMMA Pad that I took all the foam padding off to where it's just a piece of board and put that between the two so the top cab doesn't slide around.
Works great.
I could just remove the top cab's casters every time but that's an extra 5+ mins that I can use setting up my pedalboard instead! :D

just show up 5 more minutes early !!!!!!!!! lol :bassist::bassist:

Thanks !! Yhea I put alot of thinking in the way I was going to go. Glad I went with a custom color as well. Being able to go 1 cab or 2 is a huge plus...

Hey thats a pretty cool rig.
I went from having 1 PH2x12 in the past and am now using a PH4x12.
I found the mids and highs on the 2x12 were a bit too much and upon closer inspection the drivers in my 2x12's were different!
The upper driver had a mesh dome/dust cap and an aluminium bullet/phase plug.

The drivers in my 4x12 are all the same.

I'd be interested to see what drivers are in yours.
