Mesa Subway D-350!

I'm looking at the PJB C2 & C4, TE Elf 110, and Ampeg SVT210. But I have no experience with any of them. I really don't want to spend $300 without some kind of informed opinion. The Mesa cabs are way out of my price range.

Maybe TE 2X8 it uses Faital Drivers [1x10 doesn't]

for compact can't beat PJB including C-27

I just missed out on one. I'm a little worried it's too loud but also, I could probably sell my 115 if I got it.

I have seen world class amps and cabs from the 1990s going for pennies on the dollar, because no one wants to move big heavy amps anymore. This is typically my approach, but I'm also looking at newer, lighter options.

Theres nothing magical required, it's just an amp....just go hit some stores, pawnshop or craigs and find something you like the tone of.

I'm skeptical of the Acoustic stuff. At least the Ampeg I know I can trust.

There's a TE locally for $400.

Why the C-27 over the C2/4?

Casino stage, big tone, no problem handling a 5 string thru a single PH210 last night.

My guess is that the ELF 110 would be excellent. If you can find a used Eden EX110 or EX112 the price would be less. My EX110 sounds fine with my D-350 for personal practice and small "living room" rehearsals.

Thanks for the confirmation on the TE.

The only thing I have against Eden is the rat fur. Especially when buying used. :)

Out of those options, Phil Jones C4 all day every day.

I've placed a Caveman BP1 compact in front of my D-350. They make a great pairing.

BP1C adds:
An effects loop
A tuner out
An additional DI out
An additional Mute switch
Variable and complimentary saturation​

The DI weighs the same as the entire amp head!

The BP1C atop a D-350 with a tuner is wonderful. Placed an HX One in the effects loop for versatility.

One of these days I'll get a pair of ph212's, or better yet the 412. Having one was great, but moving was a little worse than the v4b I switched to, and was before I understood that I could mimic sealed response with an hpf...smh I was young and dumb.

I do have a PH412 as well...yeah its a beast to move! I originally wanted to use it for this gig, but having to park in grass and moving the gear in it was a no go. The 212s are easier to move in that case.
