Anybody use the MESA Walkabout DI as a serious recording rig? It's supposed to be one of the better onboard DIs out there. I've always gotten good feedback from live engineers and have had some good results at home. I don't do many sessions, but when I do I'd like to be able to get a good sound from my front end rig. Ideally I'd get an Evil Twin and call it day, but that's a lot of bread for something I'd only use once in awhile.

The WA has a terrific and very usable DI. I have had good results blending it with mics or on it's own. If you already have one and want to spend cash elsewhere, you'll be fine. The WA DI is consistent and has enough control to mitigate nearly any problem coming into the console.
