Saw these bands live last night. Jaw still on the floor.

AAL were simply unbelievable

Meshuggah, however, are on a whole other level. Mind-blowing. Best band I've EVER seen live in 30 years of going to gigs.

I really wanted to go but I forgot to get myself a ticket! I'm not really into Meshuggah all that much cos I'm not keen on the vocal style, but I LOVE Animals As Leaders.

They're definitely on my to-see list for the near (or distant, to be fair.. I don't care) future... :D

I saw Meshuggah when they were in Australia eariler this year.
So incredibly tight. I was up in the pit until I had enough and surfed my way out.

Did they play any of the new songs?

Set list was awesome. Opened with 'Demiurge' off the new record. Also played 'Break Those Bones...', 'Do Not Look Down' and an absolutely KILLER 'The Hurt That Finds You First'.

Other than that, it was a great mix. Three or four from each of the other albums, including monster versions of 'Combustion', 'Bleed' and 'New Millenium Cyanide Christ'...

Incredible band. Didn't drop a note all night :)

Sick stuff, man. I've kinda gotten away from Meshuggah and AAL as of late but I still listen from time to time. The "Geez, that's awesome" feeling never goes away, haha.

I tell you what, man, I NEVER tire of that feeling!

Quite possibly the most awesome band on the planet. Ten-legged groove-machine :)
