Metal basses?

I have to say the Ibanez SR500 and SR505.

They have the versatility in both tone and appearance to cross many genres should you ever need to play anything else.

My son uses both for everything from Cradle of Filth with his friends to Gershwin with his HS jazz band (along with upright there too).

For my money I would go with ESP F series. It comes in a 4 and 5 string (F-404 and F-405). These are around $700 but can be negotiated down to $650. They also have the less expensive F-254 and F-255, which look the same, have the same pickups, but different hardware and tuners.

I have an F-Series. Play in a metal band Link Removed

Its an excellent bass for metal bass, drone tones. Really good body shape.

Hear us out.
