Metal Rig Game

This rig may be a tad unconventional for metal...but I love it.
Behringer V-pod(I hate it, but sounds decent.)
Ashdown Mk-500
Acme low B-4II

She sounds amazing.

Heres my modest metal rig. I've had the preamp for 2 weeks now and love it. The setup is as follows:
Ampeg SVT-IIP--->SWR WorkingPro 400 Effects Loop Return----->Hartke VX410

I plan on getting a poweramp, selling the SWR and bying another Hartke speaker cabinet. Sorry about the poor quality pictures, we have a terrible camera :rollno:

I'd rate the one above me at about... a 6. I think a part of the metal rig is it looking extremely monsterous, I think you should add about.... 8 more 4x10's, then it would be METAL!!
;)

Ha, I do not need to haul 7 more 4x10's to be a monster. My cab sounds like a monster. and besides, most of the cabs that metal bands haul around are empty. Lamb of God's bass player has 10 mesa cabinets, only 2 have speakers in them.:spit:

so get 7 more 4x10's and take the speakers out of six of them! :bassist::bassist::bassist::D

just kidding, but I really would like to see that.

When they don't actually have a loaded speaker cabinet, do they put anything in the speaker holes or do they just leave them wide open?

I just think if they left them wide open even if they had a grill cloth it would be noticable.

Haha, if acme made a 1x15 i would be ALL over that. Even a 2x12. but for anything but coliseum shows, the 4x10 is plenty loud.(and less for a lazy metal bassist to carry:D)

I'm not sure wether or not you can tell the difference, from far away, no. They use the...i guess the closest word would be tweed speaker mesh. Link Removed

It works though.

Well, here's my "metal"-rig  Not the biggest ever, but hey, it does make great sound. The built-in overdrive/dist on the amp is pretty cool.

(ps: no, I don't use the Boss overdrive-pedal. Worst buy ever :scowl:)
