Metal Rig Game

There isn't anybody to rate above me...so here is mine.

I play a Stingray or a Modulus through it...the sound is pure heaven!

I'll be adding a GK 2001RB to it very soon...like in a few days soon.

I give the above a 10 cause 12-Stacks and 2001RB's rule the world!! :)

I picked up a GK2001RB not too long ago and it crushes with the 12-Stack.

OK, hows this for a metal rig?

Okay, I'm gonna have to give the above (with the picture) a ten...not only is it shiny, it probably sounds good too! :P haha

here's mine...sorry, this is the best picture of it that I have.

Its a Fender P-bass with a Badass II bridge, SBP-3 pickup and rotosound flatwounds, played through a carvin DCM1500 poweramp into a Trace Elliot GP11 preamp with a DBX 160X compresor and korg tuner, with a modified (enormous) 4x12 with EVM 12L speakers.

What do you think, huh???

I guess you love Steve Harris?

I'll give you an 8.5!!!
Pro's: Trace, compressor, big cab, nice P!
Con's: not all tube...

Here's mine:

Trace Elliot Hexavalve into Ashdown Mag810!
The mag will get replaced by a Bergie NV610. Through this I play an LTD B-2005 (the EMG's will get replaced by Nordstrand Big Singles) going through an EBS Multicomp and a PW pedal tuner!

Willem's rig is NOT designed to suck. At all. I give it a 9. If it were an Ampeg 810, he'd only get a 6. Thank GAWD people are getting away from those boring Fridges...

Eden WT-550B
Eden D210XLT
Eden D212XLT
Korg DT-7
Nady UHF base-model wireless system
Homemade bass bastardized from maple chopping board and Ibanez EX from the early 90's

I give Bryans gear a 8. If it were a WT800 and a 410 on top of 212s it would be a 10. Thats the rig I seriously considered but couldnt find to try and was scared of the Eden problem rumors.

No pics of mine but so far is a 410 power huse cab and a Mpulse 600 head. Next up is a 212 power house cab.

The above setup is pretty Clean. You can't argue with that head. However, an extra cabinet would do it more justice.

I dont have any better pictures of what I use than this one right now-

Brain-> Fingers-> Cirrus-> Sansamp (rarely used these days, I just dial in an aggressive tone on the head)-> a bunch of effects (used for effect) -> ART Levelar tube compressor-> Bass 400 with KT-88's-> 4x10/2x12

I SEE A MAIDEN T-SHIRT!

11's ACROSS THE BOARD!!!

I don't listen to much metal or anything (other then indulging in some thrash now and again) and this is gonna sound stupid, but I don't think I've EVER seen a metal band use a mesa rig live. Closest thing I've seen is Emo £$%^s using them. Maybe they're just too expensive for the true gutter dwelling metal head by the time they've been shipped to the UK.

Have to say though, was expecting some MUCH bigger amps here. Alot of very modest sized stuff which suprised me.

Well, I can fix that:

I'm such an OMaholic.
Good call! Cisneros is the man.

Depending on the band, the rig changes, but Im bringing out my 400+/Schroeder 3101212 and 1971 SVT/SVT810E rig for our show on the 16th.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the Marshall JCM800 head is sold but I still have the cab.
