Metallica full shows without guitar tracks

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by Selios, Apr 4, 2014.

  1. I stumbled across these and thought I'd share. This Youtube channel uploads full metal shows without the rhythm guitar tracks. It's so you can play along with them using your own guitar, but it means you can hear the bass tracks loud and clear. Most of them are Metallica shows but he's got a few from Judas Priest and some others that you can check out. I particularly enjoyed this one because you can really hear the tonal differences in the different basses that Trujillo brings out. You can find the rest on the uploader's channel:

Awesome! I think my favorite was the white p bass. He could have played that thing the whole time. Sounded great.

Trujillo sounds beastly and so consistent. I'm not used to hearing live bass tracks for a band like this sound so solid.
  7. You're welcome!

About that white P-bass, I've been working on copping a similar tone on my USA P/Sansamp/SVT 5 Pro since I saw this video. I think it sounds great too.
