Mexican Fender Wood?

Hi, this man seem very very stupid but i'm trying to replicate one of my very favorite childhood basses that is almost deemed unplayable, and i want to know what kind of wood would say a 2002 Mexican P-Bass would probably be made out of?

i know it's probably crap, but i'm trying to replicate my old beat up 02 in Metallic Sage Green with a maple neck.

Not crap at all. I've owned quite a few Fenders over the years and my favorite Precision body is an Arctic White MIM body from 2004. I'll never part with it. Right now I have a Tony Franklin fretted neck on it, along with Hipshot tuners, a Badass II bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickup. It's one of the best basses I've ever played. You can't beat those MIM bodies and they're affordable and usually available on the bay.

I have a MIM Pbass in sunburst from 2002 and it sounds pretty good. I was wondering though if someone could answer my question while we are on the topic of MIM bodies. The top of my bass looks normal, but on the back it has a birds eye figure on it. What kind do you think it is? I'm going to assume it's not maple but what other woods have birds eye figure in it? I'll try to get some pictures of it in the next few days.
