MI Audio GI Fuzz

MessDrive, Brown Dog, Orbit, Neo, BlowTorch

I guess it's closest to the Brown Dog in that it can get really harsh and aggressive but it's not quite as synthy. Sounds fantastic with my filters though.

I use it too.
I use mine with a blender (barge VB-Jr) with the phase inversion switch engaged.

I find the GI will lose a little lows, but it will depend on your setup/equipment as to whether this is noticeable.
I use ported 15's, with detuning, so I notice it.;)
The trick here, is to play it LOUD!
At quiet levels, the loss is noticeable for me, yet at band volumes, much less so.
It WILL take you a while to the the best out of this pedal.

EDIT: Sounds great with a phaser.

It's my favourite fuzz, very brutal yet defined when set right.
You can definitely get it to sound like it's ripping your speakers to bits, yet you'll be able to set it to have no feedback, hum or hiss etc. The Bias knob is your friend here, and acts like a voltage starve, but in effect can control the pedal's output like a gate. o:cool:
