Do you have suggestions for a compromise between arco & pizz? The setup I'm looking for here is for a bluegrass band where I like to take arco breaks. I also do some slapping and walking but otherwise it's pretty standard.
I have an underwood pickup, a fishman platinum pre-amp, and I run that into our PA, which has good bass through our 15" speakers. I'm really happy with the sound, but when I pick up the bow, it sounds dry, scratchy, and basically crudlike. Any ideas? I have an A/B footswitch but I'm not sure what to do with it.
