Haha, totally get it. I don't subscribe to the podcast myself, and I'm not a big Hodgman fan, but the guest from the Mountain Goats made some great points. Personally, I love Anthony's work with Van Halen. Nothing flashy, but it didn't need to be. Dance the Night Away is a great tune with a fun little riff. Push Comes to Shove even has some fun little arpeggios and what sound like double stops too. Nothing wrong with that.
