I just had a complete set up performed by Jeff Branch on my new fully carved Romanian 3/4.
The work performed exceeded my expectations and I thought it would be good to give him a review.
I will split my review into two sections - First, working with Jeff, second Jeff's work.
With respect to working with Jeff, the entire process could not have been smoother. Jeff clearly states the work he will perform and why, what it will cost (which was very reasonable) and when you can expect it completed. Each of these was spot on. In this world of charlatan's and frauds, it is so refreshing to work with a person you can trust. Buy the way, he is just a really nice guy to boot - no air of arrogance or attitude.
Now for the work itself. His work is precise and clean. I could not find a blemish anywhere in his work, and believe me I looked. My bass' tone and playability are incredibly improved and I would not hesitate to have Jeff work on it again.
So there you have it - I have no problem complaining when I get poor quality work, and I have no problem praising when I get exemplary work.
