Micro Q tron Buggin Me

I’ve got a micro Q-tron and I can’t seem to get it to do what I want for any length of time. HP sounds best but the jump in volume is a deal breaker. I can get it to sound good in BP if I tweak long enough but as soon as I change anything in my set up or if the wind changes direction; I’ve lost what I had.

I need a filter that is more user friendly (for me anyway). Would a filter with a sensitivity knob allow me to dial in a sound I like and then just adjust to work with different basses? I don’t need outrageous but I’d like it to be able to play nice with a phaser and VT.
