everything about that bass looks wrong to me. The face of the headstock, the neck, the wood... It may be legit, but it's been really, really abused. I'd pass.

Yeah, the refinish is criminally bad. Having said that, the headstock doesn't appear to have been repaired (and they snap off pretty easily on these basses.) If the neck joint is stable, it might be a decent project bass. As for the crack on the body, I can't tell if the entire lower bout was snapped off and reattached or not, but an opaque refinish would do wonders for that. I have a 70's EB-0 (no, I've never referred to it as an SG bass) that could do with a refinish also, and I've always thought it would look pretty slick in silver sparkle.

That was the only thing I saw right with that instrument - not headstock snappage. But let's be clear - even at their absolute best, these were so-so instruments; If the price were *cheap*, then this might be a cool restoration project or a fun piece of funky gear for the right gig. Otherwise...

The 59'/60' EB-0s are my favorite. I love the L.P. Jr. style double cutaway body.
