Still learning a lot and I'm not sure I have this one down yet. So the mid-freq control knob on my tone hammer amp sets how high or low the mid level control affects the sound. Is that right or am I way off?

never used that particular piece, but yes.... generally a Mid Freq. knob will set at which point your actual mid level will boost or cut. Lower settings will place your control over the low mid end of the frequency spectrum, whereas setting it higher will allow you to control the upper mids.

This control will really allow you to fine-tune your tones character allot as the mids play a huge role in where you sit in a mix.
