Hey all how are we?
So I went down to the ole store and picked up an Alesis V25 MIDI Keyboard so I can mess around with Garageband.
Main purpose was to create my own drum beats, piano and guitar...CHORDS!
I have the old Garageband...Garageband 11' ( yea I know its old!)
While at the store, I was able to mess around and open up and use the MIDI to play chords with guitars and piano by hitting one key on the keyboard and not fingering the correct keys for the correct chords.
Is there a way I can do that in my version of Garageband or do I need to update? Sure, I can go along and figure out exactly what keys my fingers should be on for the keyboard to play an Am in guitar for example, but I was able to tab down (via octave ) and finally get to a chord section on the MIDI keyboard while using the new garageband.
Also, I'm definitely a n00b here, but it came with Xpand!2 which just has a bunch of software instruments on it...how can I access it through the garageband or am I totally doing this wrong?
Thanks!
