Midrange-focused ODs/Dist pedals with blend?

My experience with such things is there are a couple Darkglass pedal series that fit this. The B3k/B7K are very edgy upper mid focused - too high in the spectrum for me, but if that's your thing, they do that, and a lot of people think they're great. Their Vintage Microtubes (and the deluxe and ultra versions) are low mid focused - definitely a different vibe, again with a decent following. I kinda like them, but feel their focus is a bit low in the spectrum for me.

There is (to my ears) a "goldilocks" in between pedal - say what you want about the relationship thing that has been over-discussed, the Pike Vulcan fits my ears very well. It doesn't bite or growl, it snarls.

The EWS Stormy Bass Drive might be able to do it, but you'd need some kind of external clean blend/effects loop, etc. It does very good and focused sounding OD/distortion, but it has no clean knob. I don't miss the clean knob at all, especially in the mix, but for your sound you may need it. It's about $100 used, so about the same as the Boss and cheaper than basically any Darkglass.

FWIW, the Genzler 4 On The Floor and Crashbox 4 each have both a HPF and a LPF on their drive channels and have separate volume controls for clean and drive channel. Note, I have not yet tried them myself.
Genzler 4 on the Floor has the features you seek with four different flavors/degrees of OD. It may not have quite as much hair as you seek, but driven with a hot signal it gets into some fuzz territory so it could work out for you. I use mostly active basses and it does give you more distortion if you feed it a hotter signal. You can dial up drive and blend separately. It sounds like you’re looking for a little more distortion than I generally need, but I never get anywhere near the degree of OD that this pedal is capable of producing so it’s hard to say whether it’s gnarly enough for you. It’s almost infinitely adjustable from clean boost through just a little drive when you dig in to higher levels of distortion. Has both high pass and low pass filters so you can dial in the range, which I agree has a huge influence on the kinds of distortion you can produce. Each gear has higher levels of drive, which gives another way to adjust the amount of OD.
