Anyone else boost their mids live in a band mix and cut them when you're home just jammin by yourself? Am I weird?

Salamenster said:Never cut your mids. Your mids are the body of your sound. The bass really gives that punch, that lower "OOMF" you need, the treble the nice crisp and sometimes the nasty edge (in a good way). But without the Mids they're bot useless because they won't cut trough. They make your sound strong and heard.

True! I'm talking about the mids in the 3 band eq on board the EBMM though. I think you all are talking amps

boodakon said:Yeah, I was speaking of amp settings too. I run my bassses passive, so amp controls are it for me. But yeah dude, if you scoop EQ by yourself, you loose nothing. but with the band...you loose note articulation and clarity.
fixed that for yaI keep the mids on my Hartke LH1000 not cut at all times.
