Mighty Mite thoughts?

So I've always played a 5 string, only ever touch 4 stringers hen I'm in music shops trying an amp or something.

My band also recently started getting local shows and i'd like to have a cheap 4 stringer to beat around and go nuts with instead of taking my spector out.

So my question is has anyone here tried these Mighty Mite bodies and necks? For around $240 for a neck and body isn't bad, I have a crap ton of old hardware, I'm sure I could jimmy rig something together cheap.

I just wanna make a cool show bass as well. Thinking a jazz bass with all black hardware and a maple fret board, possibly a see through blue body or a flame top.

i bought a pawn shop Memphis with a broken neck & put a MM on it. i LOVE it. it really is a nice neck for $99. I'm a big fan. in fact, I'm considering building my own from scratch using all MM parts like you're talking about as well

I have a MM fretless neck on my P bass and love it.

Did a Jazz and P that way because I could not find the basses in the configs I wanted.

I used Mexi bodies and allparts necks. $800.+ each.

Exactly why I looked into MM, I wanna do a jazz bass with a JP pickup configuration in it and the specific look I want I can't get on a normal off the shelf bass.

The neck will defiantly be all maple but the body I'm torn between blue burst and black, gunna have all black hardware as well.

Go on ebay. Check out a seller "thestratosphere" or just serach for bass body.

It sounds like an Aerodyne body would fit your bill. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOADED-Fend...Accessories&hash=item2ebc5abc97#ht_873wt_1159

Just curious about the sunburst P - which models has the Fender sticker over in the middle of the headstock? I saw one for sale recently and it was the first time I had noticed that.
