Hi All, new to this Talk Bass thing and just wanted some insight into Fender Made in Japan Jazz Basses. I've just acquired a Fender MIJ FSR 75 Jazz Bass in natural finish, maple neck with black block inlays. Cost was $900 (£658). Anyone have experience with these? Is that a decent price?

Thanks for the feedback. I recently bought a Squier Classic Vibe which although perfectly acceptable was not the bass advertised by the seller who had used "Stock" Fender pictures. The body grain was pretty poor in the one I received and didn't really match the maple neck tone so I sent it back. I thought I'd stretch my budget and get this one.

I think these have gotten more expensive in recent years. I only bought mine about 3 years ago and it was about $650, and in looking around the classifieds since then I see they rose sharply around 18 months ago. Now I see people asking $1k for them at times.
