Hi all you cool dudes!
I just joined your Talkingbass today and want to appeal to your coolguy egos in order to conduct the black market research.
Please to let me know if actual musicians can detect my fakesky when I tell them $385 for Japanbass.
Hvala vam!
Well, not the nicest thing I read today for sure...
I did joined yesterday so that is true.
But I've been reading the Talkbass for quite some time. I actually wanted to get back into the bass game after not playing it for almost 5 years.
Since I'm living in Europe, second-hand Fenders are much more expensive compared to the USA, Japan or AU...
This one seemed as a bargain, tbh.
And I did got really good answers & tips on what to pay attention to. Very appreciated!
Considering that there is only a one poopy person amongst 20 other replies, I would rate this forum as one of the best places on the web.
Back on topic:
I still didn't got the pics of the neck pocket. After reading all the posts above, I'm 99% sure that this neck doesn't come from Japan. It could be a Squier or a MIM. Anyway, I would consider buying this bass eaven if it's a weird blend of different Fenders, but not before I see that neck pocket & of course try it out.
The reason is as I said, the Fenders are quite expensive here. Used MIM's are being sold for ~ 550$, USA for ~ 1100$, Japan are rare but they usualy end up somewhere in betweem.
Still waiting for the owners response. Must admit that the guy doesn't seem as a musician at all. Will keep you guys posted and once more, many thanks for all the useful answers you provided me with. Peace!
