WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT 1992 -1993 MIM JAZZ BASSES?

I OWN ONE AND I LOVE IT , BUT I WANT TO HAVE A GENERAL VISION AND REAL SPECS.

I can't tell you anything about '93 MIM Jazz basses, but I can tell you a thing or two about your Caps Lock key.

If YOU love it & love the sound- thats ALL that matters!!! IME of 'em some are damn good, some are pretty average. Some ppl put USA elec.s in them for an easy upgrade!

I have a '99 MIM Jazz bass ( I call it a taco Jazz) and I love it.One of my first recordings I did the owner of the studio had a MIA jazz and he wanted me to use that because it was "Superior" to my Taco Jazz...we did one track with his American Jazz and it sounded good,and then we did one track with my Taco jazz and my Taco Jazz had more punch than his American Jazz.He actually offered to buy it from me and I told him no way.I still use this bass for recording and playing out,it's taken a beating,but keeps on playing great.Just because you buy a more expensive bass,doesn't mean it's better than the "cheaper" version.

I had an early 90s MIM Fender Jazz - added a badass bridge, new pick-ups and a custom pickguard. With it I think I tried every kind of string type, took it on the road, lent it out, etc., and the thing never let me down! It was an awesome bass! Midnight wine color with maple/rosewood neck. Sheer delight to play and own. Sold it to buy other gear but man, I miss that bass.

well, I didn't personally like the MIM Jazzes (which were both 2000 or 2001's) I have had, but I kinda grew up playing a Japanese, so I might be partial to the way those feel.

I sold the two MIM Jazzes I've had, a four, fretless, and a 5 fretted. Not that they were bad basses, they just didn't quite do it for me.

I used to have a '93 jazz that i got from TBer Bobkos and it was a FINE FINE machine. Great quality for the most part. I loved it so.

Good bang for the buck IMO. Much better than most basses at the price point. Of course I wouldn't buy one sight unseen if possible. The music store I used to work fo carried a wall of MIM Fenders. Some really sang out and you could feel the entire bass resonate through your body, others, not so much. I was never a fan of the hardware or electronics but they didn't sound bad.

One of my favorite basses is a MIM deluxe p-bass. P/J setup that sounded great right off the rack. Now it has SD quarter pounders, a badass bridge and an Audere preamp. The thing kills! I highly reccommend the Deluxe p's

I have owned several early 90 s MIM's and both the jazz and p basses have been great in terms of build quality and playability.

I recently returned an MIM jazz bass to GC. It actually played and sounded nice, but I noticed that the neckplate was put on crooked. Plus, I found a nice old Tokai I wanted. GC has a great return policy. I had the bass 25 days before I brought it back. Good thing the finishes on those things is glop. I just buffed it up with an old t shirt and it was looking good as new.
