MIM might get more expensive by 20%

I would guess that if that is the only issue
then Fender would keep that factory open and export
it's output to any place that isn't charging a 20% tax on them.

Americans can still get them from from the big Asian, European, -fill in your choice- retailers and save +/-10 % for buying without trying first.
US buyers and retailers will be the only ones duped by this insanity...
