Mini-subwoofer for home studio PA?

I'd like to add a small, cheap subwoofer to my home studio PA. It's for a small room. The mains are Seismic 8" woofers+horn, there are two Warfdale Pro 12" floor monitors, powered by a Mackie 808S mixer. There isn't much space so I'd like the subwoofer to be as small as possible but provide decent low end reinforcement. Its purpose is to inhance playback of my bass recordings, or demo songs, so volume is usually low to moderate. I'm using my nEArful cabs and iAmp Pro for bass so the PA is light duty only.

Any suggestions on what might work for this situation? Thanks!

P.S. the mixer does not have a "subwoofer" out jack so the subwoofer needs to be powered.

It may be worth looking for a small Hifi sub, rather than PA; the smallest powered PA sub I know of is that 12" 200w Mackie.

I'm sure others will chime in with better suggestions, but hifi may be an avenue to look down!

I was wondering about hi-fi. Polk Audio has an 8" powered subwoofer called the DSW Pro 400. It's got an RCA jack in so I'm thinking it might work. If it's good enough for a home theatre system in a small room, seems like it should be good enough for playback of my bass recordings and demos. Price is about $350.

Not sure it's exactly what you're looking for, but I've had very good results with the IKEY-Audio M-10S. I use it as a sub for reference with my near fields. It was relatively cheap, it's powered, and it can get way louder than I need (for mixing and editing).
