Timmy's on board to tell us the secrets of successful subbing! (something I NEED to check out!)

I'm going to let Lonny start a discussion about bass building. Since we don't have 3-4 months to watch him work at this GTG, we'll have to keep it theoretical. I'm hoping this will be an on-going topic.

I'll bring all my cable/bass tools and stuff and Guersan and I will be trading off to assist when needed. I'll do something on shielding.

Rick will hopefully bring several growlers and his surf bass!

My '59 should be back from a repaint/restoration. so that will come along with me. (I'm sooo freaking PUMPED! - I haven't had it since early this year)

More to come... this one should be a doozy!

I propose Kenner brings his nuclear powered rig, and the rest of us bring our high speaker count cabs and enough 1/4 plugs (cheapo from RS or something) for our own cabs and we wire up a massive serial/parallel cord and plug all the other cabs at the GTG into a very modest poweramp ~100 watts or so, and see which is louder 3000 watts into a matched up rig or 80 (more or less) speakers powered by 100 watts.

Experiment to see the optimal number of speakers where more makes no difference. Find out if they ever hit the same DB level as Kenner's rig. Set up a Marshall stack next to the monster rig and see if it wets itself...

I did buy the iNuke 3000. I just recently picked up Lonnybass' Schroeder..thus giving me two of em... plenty of speaker for the power amp..super clean stuff \m/ ...and, yes, they sell em at MGR

I'd bet the series of speaks would be louder than my stuff... more paper = more "stuff"
