Aug 11th... more details to follow... new location... expanded hours 11AM-5PM - Anoka area.

:bassist::bassist::bassist:

Mini-seminars will be in planning. We're getting close to NEW-THREAD time... so keep in touch.

Ideas?

Last time I brought my soldering station, nut tools, etc. and some guys borrowed the tools and we fixed some stuff. I could bring them again, or, is there interest in cable stuff? Shielding? ???

Throw out some ideas... (please)

TabascoBass: If you, or anyone else has an unshielded body we could do a hands-on shielding demo. I'll supply the foil.

Sure bring 'em and we'll fix 'em

gurensan, we can trade off on manning the station, but I don't want to be stuck there all day.

Keep the ideas coming... :)

You guys want something on bass building? Start to finish from sawmill to the studio? I can go into EQ fundamentals and optimizing your live rig as a whole package - let me know what appeals.

I'm game. I don't wanna be there the whole time either, but I'm still (mostly) amp-free. I'll be moving this summer and that's going to eat most of the finances.

Too bad I JUST sold my Warwick on Wednesday. I'd fully shielded it with aluminum foil and it worked fantastically well. Couldn't pick up even fluorescent lights. Only incandescent dimmers - go figure! I left a series a of pictures up at the Warwick forum: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. Look at the pics in the reverse order.

That sounds like a LONG demonstration! I was hoping for pointers on neck building...

I'll be there, though I'm not sure of the time just yet. I could take a shift at the soldering station. I also shielded my Jaguar recently and can show that off. That's a pretty crazy looking beast with all the guards/switch panels removed. I'll keep pondering other ideas.

Timmy's on board to tell us the secrets of successful subbing! (something I NEED to check out!)

I'm going to let Lonny start a discussion about bass building. Since we don't have 3-4 months to watch him work at this GTG, we'll have to keep it theoretical. I'm hoping this will be an on-going topic.

I'll bring all my cable/bass tools and stuff and Guersan and I will be trading off to assist when needed. I'll do something on shielding.

Rick will hopefully bring several growlers :D and his surf bass!

My '59 should be back from a repaint/restoration. so that will come along with me. (I'm sooo freaking PUMPED! - I haven't had it since early this year)

More to come... this one should be a doozy!
