Minnesota Bassist Club

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by insomniac2295, Sep 18, 2008.

  1. Did a search and came back with no results. Here's a club for all bassists from Minnesota to talk about technique, gear, or anything else bass related.

    Requirements-
    None but the obvious.

Post your user name, hometown, and assign yourself a number if you want to join. Make sure to post your number on here so as there's no confusion.
    I'll be the first

    Hey guys-

I was restringing my Schecter 5 tonight, and realized that a summer of gigging has wreaked havoc on my setup. Guess I didn't realize how much it was buzzing. :meh:

So...any recommendations in the metro for a good, QUICK setup tech? I live in Eden Prairie and work in Edina, so somewhere around there would be best. I can't leave the bass for a few days, I'm in the midst of practice mania for an audition.

I've used Brown's Guitar Factory before, but $80 for a setup is just ugly. :eyebrow:

    I been everywhere, man...
    None. At all.
I'd try Leonard Shapiro at http://www.moseso.com/lsgr.html. I've only had John Brown work on my stuff, but Leonard has an excellent rep.

I'll give him a call. I like Brown's and they do good work, but I've never had them turn a setup around faster than a few days, and they are definitely spendy.

    Thanks,

    -Mark
