MM Häussel Pickup Replacement Issue.

Hello!

On my OLP MM32 (2 Humbucker Version and 5way switch) I had the original PU replaced by an artisan with 2 MM Style PU form Häussel, but the artisan didn't succeed in wiring the PU's correctly. The second artisan on the job could wire the PU correctly but now I have an output issue. While the humbuckers have an incredible punch (each of them alone and together as well), the single coil mode has a remarkably low output and lack of expression in comparison .(Which wasn't the case with the orignial PU/or wiring).

The PU coils are connected in paralell mode in every switch position.

The PU could be switched like the follwing.
  1. Bridge humbucker only (works)
  2. Outer singel coils (bridge and neck) (low output)
  3. Both bridge and neck humbuckers (works)
  4. Inner single coils (Bridge and neck) (low output)
  5. Neck humbucker only (works)

I'm curious if there could anything be wrong with the wiring of the coils in single coil mode. Since it worked before, I assume it should work right now as well. Should I connect mode 2 and 4 in seriell mode, if possible?

I would appreaciate any help which could lead me to the next step or to the solution of this problem.

Merry Christmas, by the way

Gerison

So, hello again!

After having studied several online resources covering wiring and witching I learned that the hot wire of the south coil of the humbucker and the ground wire of the north coil were soldered together on the common ports of the five way switch. Therefor the Humbucker were always parallell, wheras the the singel coils were connected in series. (I wrote that all were parallel in the recent posting, since I handed a switching diagram over to the artisan, which was labeling all connections to be pareallell, therfore I assumed that he wired the PUs accordingly)

Am i right, that this is the reason for the difference in the output of all "humbucker modes" and the "singel coil" modes?

I hope I could now narrow down my question.
