Modded Schecter Model T...worth picking up?

I thought there was a P pickup on it, but apparently it's just black tape over wood filler blocks? lol

Still better than the Fender acoustic, so there's that.

Thought the same! It would have been fine if they did not fill the cavity, I could drop in an afternarket pup easily.

I will need to put a ramp on that area as that is my default playing position.

Weird that that filled the Holes but put tape over it.

Perhaps your ramp will cover it all up. Maybe one engraved with something suitably rock and roll.

Either way I agree that's better than the acoustic.

Really weird. Yes, the ramp should be able to cover up that spot and provide a good plucking position as well.

Will take this bass for a Spin on our weekend practice and possible use it on our Canada day gig on Monday!

Happy to report that I played this bass on our gig last Saturday and it performed nicely! I have no isssues with the neck/body and hardware but I do want to maximize this bass by upgrading the setup of the current pickup.

My question to you good sirs is...how do I go about this? I believe my options are:

1. Install an active preamp, leave the bartolini MMC solo. If so, what are the recommended preamps that will match/maximize the Bart?

2. Keep it passive and install a precision pickup (I have a CS '62 that is waiting for a donor bass). If so, what wiring would be recommended? Pickup switch selector/VVT?

3. Install an active preamp, and also install the precision pickup and control via blend knob?

4. Other option I have not thought of?

Any suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.

Quick update on this project bass, I finally got the chance to dig the cavities for the P pickup and mounted the pickups .

Now I need to figure out how to wire the precision and MM pickup. I am thinking VVT would be the most logical.

Unfortunately I am a noob on the wiring side of things. If anyone can help me figure out the current wiring and how to incorporate the P wiring into the setup, that would help me greatly.
