modding the echo machine

hi guys!
:help: I found ((un)lucky me) behringer em600 echo machine on the street today (tossed away by some angry, frustrated owner,no doubt),and I was thinking of moddin' it into something that's actually USEFUL (is that even posible with behringer pedals:eyebrow:),without having to remove the entire circuit board...
so
is that possible?
and
what are your suggestions?
mind you,the reverse option looks promising, and I would be happy if only that worked, when pedal is engaged...
also
I am totally new in this modding thing, and I probably will not do it by myself, but all ideas are more than welcome!!!
thanx!

This is definitely digital, and not using the Princeton Tech delay chips which allow for modding - it's a monolithic DSP unit, so there's not going to be anything too useful you can do to it, unfortunately, even for somebody with experience in this area. Best to just take it for what it is. If you got it for free, it has to be worth at least what you paid for it! ;)
