Is it possible to split a the MM pickup of a bass(J+MM config) into a single coil? I just thought it would be cool to have a Jazz Bass and a MM style bass in one bass! I'm actually looking to do this to a TBC AP-500MJ. Maybe the knobs config would be something like 3 band EQ, Jazz pup volume, MM pup volume and a switch. Thanks!

Depends on which MM pickup you use. What you ask is possible, but only if the pickup chosen allows it.
The MM pickups in TBC's are hardwired in Series (2 conductor) so unfortunately you can't split the coils unless you rewire the pickup itself.
