modes for harmonic major!

Well I don't get involved in Web-related stuff - I'm more involved in "traditional" Marketing - Direct Mail, Loyalty Cards that sort of stuff - Databases of existing and potential customers.

Ahh how embarassing, Piano being my main instrument, Herbie being my favourite Jazz pianist, and Dolphin Dance being one of my favourite Herbie Tunes... perhaps I should have known that As a jazz piano player, I've not actually considered that harmonic major scale as a way of describing chords, but then, gone are the days when I think of what I'd call all the chords I play... It's funny, I can know exactly what I'm playing from a harmonic point of view and how it fits into the harmony conceptually - but I'd have to think about it to name the chord. I don't really think of chords as chord names, more as concepts...

I'm a Jazz pianist inasmuch as I play Jazz piano, I'm not a pro! Though the band I (until recently) played with went on tour in Denmark and Sweden for a couple of weeks in the Summer, that was cool. I'm a decent Jazz piano player at the moment, but I'm definitely not pro level.
