Modulus graphite neck issue....

Since you're not the original owner, and since it sounds like you might not even be 100% on getting it fixed, you might consider selling it with the caveat that the buyer will probably have to put some money in (probably with Jerry) for shipping and repair. Also, there's an outside shot there's someone out there with a Q4 neck that they're seeking a body for.

I love TB, lots of useful info here! I am having a problem with w pre-truss rod Zon and, of course, I am not the first owner. Plus, no word back from Zon. I'll call them to shake them down for sure, but I just sent off an email to Jerry to get some info.

:)

I had an issue with a pre-truss Zon neck too. I was the original owner, but had purchased it from GC about a year prior. Zon's CS is so-so. Sometimes great, sometimes horrible. I would e-mail and call. Typically, you'll get Joe on the phone, Martin via e-mail. Zon didn't cover the repair or the shipping (but did tell me that they stopped working with GC because they were constantly fixing problems that happened in the GC storage rooms), but they did split the cost of the neck with me. It was a 5er; I believe it ran me around $400 all told. The new neck came with a truss rod. It also took way longer than they said it would -- probably a couple of months.

I sent in my Modulus Genesis that the previous owner had sole me with a broken truss rod. It wasn't covered under warranty, but they said the original owner could have it fixed for free. It cost me $600 but I got a new trussrod and fretboard on my bass and it is basically brand new. They also gave me a lifetime warranty on my neck since it was basically brand new. It took 12 weeks to have it done, but it was a perfect repair and Anderson was fantastic to deal with. They actually quoted me $700 but shaved off $100 and 2 weeks from their original quote.

Hope you can get it fixed!

I have had my quantum 6 for 18 years and it still holds a lower, perfect action than any other bass I've ever played, including warwicks, laklands, ernie balls, fenders and smiths.

Right on - good for you....seriously.

My experience, after 10 years of love, wasn't so happy. I won't bore you here - my post in Hoover's thread says it all if you're so inclined. The point, and I'm not trying to jinx anything - I hope you get a lifetime of enjoyment from the bass, is that just because problems haven't happened yet, it doesn't mean they won't eventually occur.
