$6K for a bolt-on neck bass?
Far out.
You know what, it's $2K cheaper than my Fodera Emperor 5 string deluxe (dovetail neck joint, $8,350.00). Go figure.

Moses makes necks that will bolt onto a Modulus Quantum body.
Ah, I get it; I misunderstood what Honch was saying, I thought he meant Moses manufacturered the necks that were sold on Modulus-branded instruments. Mea culpa.
The only thing I know of Modulus (modern or not) is that Moses Graphite actually makes direct replacement necks for them. Yes, one graphite manufacturer makes direct replacement (and designed headstocks) necks for another graphite manufacturers neck. Albeit entirely different, but it's a first for me...one can wonder really what's the point?![]()
That's one utterly stunning instrument that you own. It left me outright speechless and that takes a lot. My hat's off to you.
as a huge proponent of geoff's work, yeah, i've run into a few 'issues' with a few of my g. gould basses.I've hear about issues with the fit an finish of G Gould basses. Bad fret work, and also a bit of a sharp sound from the electronics, etc.
Any opinions you could share?
that's a funny-looking spatula...Moses makes necks that will bolt onto a Modulus Quantum body. Strange but true. Have a look for yourself:

Having owned Modulus and Moses basses, I couldn't imagine swapping out a Modulus for a Moses neck but different strokes for different folks.

The bass I made was in 2011. It's not like I'm talking 1992.So, just so we understand... you're asking why a parts bass you put together X years ago costs less than a brand new Modulus (which is made by a diffferent company then the old Modulus)?
First of all, when did you buy it? Look up the price of a full Modulus bass from XXXX and plug it in here Invalid Link Removed
