Dave Channell had his Modulus bass stolen from his pickup truck today. Dave's a good guy and a great player. This bass means a lot to him so please keep your eyes open. I'll repost the message I got about this.... Our friend Dave Channell got his bass stolen out of his truck in front of Rainbow electronics over on Madison. If you live in that area PLEASE stay alert, go to any pawn shops or music stores you know of! Dave is a great guy and does a lot of good things for kids wanting to learn to play, supports other musicians, shares his jams and gigs with anyone...Lets help him find his Bass! Anyone that knows Dave knows what this guitar looks like. It is a Modulus Q4 Bass with 4 strings. The color is called a purple burst with a quilted maple top. It looks kind of blue and has an unusual finish and graphite neck. This is a very special bass that Dave loves and money can't replace it for him! Stay alert and call Dave and/or the police if you find it! Dave is at (916) 705-8628 If you can think of any place else to post this please do! I'll try and get some more details about the bass tomorrow, distinguishing marks, serial no. etc. Here's a not very clear pic. Looks like the volume knob is missing. Thanks.
I'll be on the look out!Have him go through the phone book and call every pawnshop in town and, describe it withe the serial number!!!My friend was able to track down his 63' Gibson this very way!Right here in Sac.BTW he found @ a place on Del Paso blvd.!Hope this helps,..that really sucks!
Thanks. He's already checked all the pawn stores but it won't hurt to check again in a day or so. Serial No. is 962665. He's offering a no questions asked reward though I doubt any bass player would want a reward for reuniting a bro with his bass.
There was a blue Modulus Q4...i think the year was 1987-1989...somwhere in there that sold on eBay the other day for $610. It had a busted cavity that the description said was fixed by a luthier....I don't have the listing still or I would post it.....might not be the same one but you never know. Q4s are usually the rarest out and about being sold, so if someone tries to sell it, he will find it.
