Modulus Vertex?

Obviously needs a setup. Did you call Modulus? It is Saturday in any case.

I wouldn't bash them until you reach them Monday.

If the bass is screwed, return it. Also, ask the dealer where you bought it why they didn't set it up after the hardware swap .

P.s. the Modulus website IS a complete joke, but talk to them on Monday via email or phone.

I can wait till Monday, but with all the great examples of websites where you can download manuals, schematics, and pretty much anything you would need to support yourself.... It just makes it seem like the company could care less about it's customers. The bass had a professional setup I was told. There is no way any guitar tech got close to this thing. It would seem like the neck-body angle was not set correctly. I have never worked with that before (shimming the neck.) I don't see how I am going to get relief over the first fret. Time to get the Erlwine and Warwick books out. Another thing that is odd... Modulus hangs their hat on the necks of their guitars. How the heck would they let one of these out? I do hope I can get a bit more informatoin. What comes with the guitar is a joke.

If I get this worked out to my comfort, I will post the outcome and remedy. I still say "buyer beware" at this point.
