Had a gig last night at a nightclub here in Sydney. My set up, 2011 MIA P->Polytune->Bass BB->MXR Envelope Filter->Sansamp Para Driver DI->GB Neo-Pak->TC 210.
Cool set of covers, groovy stuff, rocky stuff, yay. Get to a particular song in the set (not gonna name names cos you'll all hate me) that calls for both dirt and quack. Cue BB and Filter.
Simple enough huh?
Dunno if it was the room, the levels on the pedals or what, but this chain just sounded HAWWWT! One of those moments of pure awesome phat tonal GLORY. Couldn't help but smile and groove just that little bit harder. Not quite
but close enough.
I'd love to hear some of your effects related glory stories (I'll stop saying glory now..). New pedals that just made it all come together? Or a new chain order? Moar fuzz? This particular change in setup for me was downsizing to a mini board to accommodate the 5c piece we were playing on.
I'm sure you've all got killer stories, let's hear them!
