Monitor speaker recommendation for small practice room

Hi all,
I plan to build a small band practice room for my band & my kids. The room is about 4m x 6m. We'll use it about twice a week.

My plan is all instrument (bass, guitar, keyboard, mic, electic drum) goes to a 10 or 12 channel mixer then to pair of active floor monitor (12" with tweeeter). Bass & guitar will go to amp sim before going to mixer, I have Sansamp GT2, EBS Microbass II, Zoom G3 & B3 at my disposal. If necessary, I can add dedicated monitor for the drum/vocal.

The missing part is the 12" monitor as I have no idea of what to look for but I'm on tight budget as I have to fund the drum as well. So I found following models which costs more/less 300$ :

1. Mackie Thump series
2. Samson Auro series
3. Proel Flash series

Power is no concern as the room is small. I want something which sounds decent & reliable. Do you have any experience to share on the models above ? Those models are not available on our local music store, so I must buy them online and no way to test before buy.

The Thumps work pretty well and are reliably. I have no experience with the others (but I'd avoid the Samson...)

In a room that small, I might try to assemble a headphone rig for everyone. Even low volume is gonna make life hard.

Since you don't have to worry about live drums, I second the idea of a headphone rig. As for a powered speaker, I'd watch for a used QSC K-12. I've seen them used in the low $400 range, which I know is a stretch. But they sound amazing, a BIG difference from the ones that you listed.
