Monitor Systems

> So, between the M-48s, the Avioms, and the MyMix, which one would be cheapest?

Aviom seems to be the cheapest at about $6,300. The easiest to integrate into your existing system would seem to be the Roland system at about $9,600.

Alright, I've done some comparisons going by the prices of each product through Sweetwater, and here's what I came up with:

Hear Back Hub - $579
Movek IEX-16L - $999
Aviom AN-16/i Input Module - $1165
Aviom Pro A-Net Distributor - $1325
Roland S-4000D - $1595

Hear Back Mixer - $230
Aviom Personal Mixer - $620
Movek myMix - $649
Roland M-48 Personal Mixer - $1080

Total cost for system with 8 personal mixers:

Hear Back - $2419
Movek - $6191
Aviom - $7450
Roland - $10,235

(Alternatively, instead of using the input module and A-Net distributor from Aviom, it might be possible to use the S-4000D, depends on if it's compatible)

Yeah, but at the same time, no one should need to have the whole band in their ears.

This is a very bad assumption. If the musicians have in-ears in, they're only going to hear what's in their mix (unless they're bad like me and play with one out occasionally). I absolutely want everything in my mix on in ears...not sure why you'd only want to hear half the group....

I don't know about you, but when I've played on stage, I always hear less than half the band anyway. Too much background noise to make out the individual instruments.

If I had IEMs, all I'd need are my bass, the snare, the keys and lead vocals, maybe one of the guitars too. Don't need the kick because I can feel it.

I've played being able to hear less than that.

Also, IEM systems with more than 8 channels are a LOT more expensive.
