mooer pronounciation

The Mooer pronunciations the merrier, I say.

I have to agree with Sketch, pinyin is a pain and confusing. The first syllable, "mó", is a rising tone (like you're asking a question), the second ("ěr") dips back down-and-up again (like you might say "uh-huh"). Since I doubt I'll ever get the Putonghua tonal inflection right, I'll stick to articulating it as a cross between "more" and "moo-err" (still rising tone on the end though, whereas most English speakers would give the "err" a falling tone).

that's a pretty entertaining story you typed there. It kinda reminds me of that old baseball joke Abbott and Costello once told. Also we're not talking about moog here. We're talking about mooer.

That's what I did, I talked about Mooer, I'm sure I mentioned it, Mooer than a few times, without Mooging it up too much. I didn't rip off Abbot & Costello's "Who's On First?" sketch, I ripped off Monty Python's "Candid Photography" sketch, more commonly known as the "Nudge-Nudge, Wink-Wink" sketch, or just "Nudge-Nudge" sketch. :smug:

Oh, and I should mention the aforementioned "sketch" remarks are unremarkable as relating to TBer Sketch, nothing to do with Sketch. Well, except for the Sketchy pinyin comment, anyway, rather the term referred to comedy routines that... Sorry :sorry:, I'm having a go at obtuse humour, again :woot:... and failing miserably. :oops: Where is my medication...?

I'll say no Mooer... :speechless: :angel:

:banghead::banghead: ;);)

oh okay. So you base that from a monty python bit. Was it that one bit where Eric idol was talking about photographs? Also I wasn't saying you got that bit from Abbott and Costello. I was saying it reminded me of that baseball bit they did.

since we're talking about mooer, I am thinking about purchasing a mooer eleclady flanger pedal. I've read one review saying that this pedal sounds phenomenal on bass. And one review saying that it sounds similar to the t.c electronics vortex flanger. I'm thinking about purchasing this pedal sometime later this year.

Based on their other work it's probably more like a Boss BF2 , but I'm not a flange guy. Yet.

I've recently checked out some YouTube clips on mooer pedals and I did notice some of the guys demoing these pedals pronounced mooer differently. Some pronounced it as Moore, while others pronounced it as moo-er. The mooer company themselves pronounced it as Moore. Personally I find it easier to pronounce it as moo-er. But I guess it can be pronounced either way.

Love flangers. Let us know how you like the ElecLady, Crystalman85.

Yes, photographs, I linked to a youtube clip of the skit in my post, indeed about photographs. I misconstrued what you meant about the Abbot & Costello bit, sorry 'bout that. "Who's On First" is one of my favourite comedy bits ever, it's darn near perfect as far as linguistic gymnastics goes...

if I do purchase one, I'll let you know how it is. And I would of figured that it was that bit. I use to watch Monty python when I was a kid.
