Moogerfooger replacement options???

How do those three filters compare? There's a good bit of chatter on here about the XD and the Chromatron, but what about the Barbanera?

Do you use an expression pedal with any of them? Do you use the LFO on the Barbanera? Do you use the fx loop in the Chromatron, and if so, do you miss it in the others?

If you had to have one on your board to cover everything from funk filter to synth, which would it be?

I'm a v1 Wonderlove user and love its fx loop, so the obvious upgrade at some poi t would be a Chromatron. I think the XD might be a little too wild for my tastes, but the Barbaners has been appealing.

The Barbanera is a superb Moogerfooger MF-101 clone so only thing new about it is the LFO & while it's awesome I rarely use it aside from the sample & hold waveform.

I like the chromatron, the fx loop is a nice feature & I have the Octabvre mkiii & Doom 2 inside the loop but honestly they sound more dynamic, pronounced, & synthy through the 4 pole XD... I mainly got the chromatron for the expression control foot switch but you can essentially do the same thing on the XD by opening the expression pedal & using the envelope footswitch on the XD.

If I had to pick 1 out of the 3 it would be the XD, it's the most powerful, gets the most wet, & has the widest sweep
