When a police officer stops you.. And he has to physically grab you because you cant hear him ... And you turn around and say "i don't give f$?@ who you are take your hands off me" ..... Sorry... She was begging to be arrested. @holes are everywhere even on police forces but if you can't respect the man you MUST respect the uniform or deal with the consequences. All she had to do was say "Hey sorry I didnt hear you..." .... But noooooooo she has to get all Alpha .... Suck it up and talk to the judge. I tell my 16 year old son when stopped by the police even if you feel you are in the right choose your response wisely because it is a fight you cannot win if you coose the wrong option. Pick the time and place for a fight which is never at the point of potential arrest. Unfair? Maybe.. But that is how it is on any police force in the US. They have the badge and the gun save any fight for a courtroom not the street corner.

That should be obvious but for some reason it's not to a lot of people.

Lady wasn't driving, no need to carry ID.

Apparently, not bowing down to "ver are your papers" to some militant thug with a gun is now a crime. :hmm:

They had random check points where I lived several years back. It was a huge dragnet. They'd ticket you for no proof of insurance, headlight out, tinted window violation, etc. It was nothing but a huge revenue generator. And I remember people writing into the paper or online comments thanking the cops for keeping them safe. ***....

What is your point?

You're supposed to have proof of insurance, headlights that work, and windows which comply with the law.

Here's an idea...if you don't want to pay fines for non-compliance, have proof of insurance, headlights that work, and windows which comply with the law.

Oh no...that's too inconvenient, I'd rather disobey the law, get fined, and bitch about it.

How I would love to sit on this jury.


You know...a jury is supposed to have the power to judge the validity of a law itself and not just the person accused of breaking it. But you'll never hear some piece of crap brownshirt judge tell them that, especially not while playing golf with the DA. They will, however, set some bs "precedent" to take that power away from the jury and hand it to the judge...likely before they get to the 19th hole.

It's illegal search and seizure. That's my issue.

Cops have no right to stop and search you without a warrant detailing the "specific areas to be searched and specific items to be seized".

That's really not that hard to understand.

Doesn't really matter though when some uniformed thug is standing there with a pistol and you're not.

Are you looking for drugs in a parked cruiser on the side of the road? Those laws are in place so the police can see into your vehicle to identify what is in there.

If you're tinting your windows to the point of being blacked out (that nobody can see in) then expect to be pulled over and talked to by the police.

I don't need cops looking into my car. That's my property. They need consent to search it.

Ok why am I assumed to be a criminal. Why should a police officer need to see in my vehicle unless I am stopped on suspicion of committing a crime. The man that does annual safety inspections checks the window tint he also checks the tire tread. Does this mean cops can drive on bald tires too since their vehicles are not held to the same safety standards.

Not trying to stir anything up, just giving my opinion. I believe the window tint laws are in place for the safety of the on duty officers that pull up behind several vehicles in a day who's occupants could be carrying guns, drugs, etc. Not saying that I agree with it, in fact I prefer the look of most vehicles with a dark tint, but you risk being stopped by the cops driving that way, just like if you had a tail light out, etc.

Sure I think the police are generally wasting their time pulling people over that have highly tinted windows, but the easiest way around it is to obey the law that's been given right to us.

Edit: think of it this way, if you're out there risking your life for the safety of the public, would you be more comfortable being able to see the suspects through their windows and what they're doing with their hands?

Unfortunately, on any routine traffic stop the officer should be expecting the worst, which is why an officer has his hand on his holster as he walks up to every single car he pulls over. Just to be ready for anything.

That is not illegal in most US states to my knowledge. I Canada you can also tint the back windows quite heavily, it is just the windshield and the front windows that can only be tinted very slightly, if at all, it depends on the province.

I am also quite certain the window tint laws are for safety and vision, not so people can or cannot see into your car. That is why it is legal in most US states, you get a lot more freedom to do dangerous things, because you are one paying for the healthcare. That is also why many US states allow you to ride a motorcycle without a helmet or to cut the roof off your vehicle and still have it considered road safe.

Negative, only while driving, or if you are have a concealed handgun license and you are carrying. You do not have to have ID to go for a walk.

... or catching muggers, dealing with head-on collisions, chasing bank robbers, collaring wife abusers, apprehending rapists and murderers ... you know, stuff like that. Every day.

The Man is always comin' down on me. Thanks to the Man, I can't rob no liquor stores no more, and it really hurts my self-image. Thanks to the Man, I gotta spend a significant portion of my income on Auto Insurance, and that money coulda gone towards feeding the kids.

So I have 'em hang out downtown and pick pockets.

Next thing you know, the Man is gonna come down on THAT!
