That thing doesn't look that good, probably doesn't sound that good, and is used. It should be more like $100. I'm not a fan of violin basses anyway, so I'd only get one if it was like $25. lol.
 
I thought the natural finish ones went for more new. Could be wrong, but that's my recollection.

Anyhow the extra you're paying is for all the added mojo.
