More fearful 12/6/1 questions

Um what's an inverted baffle??
Where the tweeter/mid is mounted.
Tweeter right-mid left on first cab. Mid right-tweeter left on second.

That way when flipped and stacked the mids are lined up over each other.

I did the mirror baffle 15/6s and used them in nearly the exact same way…one stayed at the rehearsal space with a power amp, the other stayed at home with my main rack...

I have mirror baffle 15/6/1 cabs and a 15sub. I can do the 15/6/1 over 15/1/6 or 15/6/1 over a 15sub.
I like the mirror baffle pair better.

I'll ask him thanks! Then I thought that if I just assembled the routed board for the speakers backwards or reversed there's my mother flippin baffle...

This. Although I do like to know if it's inverted so I'm sure biscuit cuts are correct. They should assemble either way.

As far as heads, the D800 hasn't gotten much attention by the fearful gang. The GK MB or MBF has. Preamp + power amp gets even more attention. The Peavey Mega thingy has promise once they start being in stock.

I've had all sorts of different forms of amplification in front of a 12/6. The scary part is the only things that matter any more to me is sufficient headroom and an eq I mesh with. And controls I can make sense of on a dark stage. Unless I need big loud, I run a first generation Thunderfunk TFB-420 with a 12/6 and have ball playing away.

If I had to buy a different head right now, it'd be a GK RB series or I'd lay in wait for a Mesa M6 or Thunderfunk to show up at a good price.

I've only heard a Thunderfunk once through a Greenboy cab and it was pretty impressive. I gigged an M6 with a Fearless F115 once and it killed. Huge fan of those ams!

What I am planning to do is buy two 12/6/1 kits (if one of my basses sells) and keep one home and one at church. Class d amp is light so I'll just carry back and forth. Someone suggested I do that in another thread sounds like a good idea to me. That way I can get my tone dialed in and not have to fuss with it.

Yeah. This is a good plan, and then, you can use the two together if you ever need to.
I went with a 12/6/1 on top and a 12 sub under because I didn't need the two cabs in two locations thing.

Couple more questions...

How much duratex stuff do you need for a 12/6? I got a pint for each cab hope that's enough.
I really feel lost in a sea of amp options with the exception of being limited on price.
I got the mesa subway let's see how it goes.
Also waiting for a tecamp puma 1000 to pop up on classifieds
I tried so many music stores and no one carries mesa bass stuff on Long Island. They didn't even have any class d GK amps to try. I tried a tone hammer which was ok but I feel that's a very lateral move from my markbass lm3

1 pint is fine. I used a primer before duratexing. Got 3 coats(i think) and good texture.

Can anyone tell me exactly what is suppose to come with mesa d 800 I ordered from a small shop to help the little guy but it came in a fender soemthing box and I want to make sure it has everything it's suppose to. Not sure why there are two power cords either...
